RAC 20 –Sound in 3D
As is the case with all Bernstein components, the principal focus
during development was on achieving high quality sound. A good
sound is only realised through a variety of well combined design details.
A key factor is the use of wood as the cabinet material.

Thanks to its well controlled, low resonance qualities wood is able to provide the ideal conditions for the clearest vocal and music reproduction.
The broadband speaker, equipped with a treated paper cone and double magnet, is responsible for the bass and midrange, and is supported in the lower frequencies by a precisely designed bass reflex system.
The upper frequencies in the Rac 20 are reproduced by two additional tweeters with neodymium magnets. The unit generates a particularly spacious three dimensional sound in conjunction with a special circuit. This applies to the operation of the integrated FM/AM tuner as well as to CD players or iPhone®/iPod® devices that can be connected via the 3.5 mm universal jack at the rear of the unit.
